Monagas's Guide

Come and discover Natural Monagas in 7 Days and 6 Nights

Departing from Maturin, through the beautiful "Nuestra Señora del Carmen"'s Cathedral which has a construction over 2310 sq meters and 55 meters high, then, we can go to Boca de Uracoa Town. On our tour, we will observe the splendid Monagas's plains, full of cows and buffaloes and to reach Boca de Uracoa we will stay in the rustic, but comfortable rooms of Acoima camp where we will live a real Acoima Tours rural style, enjoying rides through the streams of Orinoco's Delta and Tabasco River.

We will wake up very early to take a small boat that will take us deep into Caño Manamo in orinoco's Delta. There we can see " toninas" (sweet water dolphins) until we get to any of the camps the Delta has to offer. They enjoy walks along the beautiful Delta and Morichal LargoRiver, where we delight watching and listening local fauna and relaxing with the tranquility and peaceful atmosphere that ecosystems provide us. When the sun sets and gives us a spectacular sunset, as usual in the Delta, and the mystical power of the night full of enigmatic jungle sounds, we will go on a nocturnal excursion to watch reptiles, arachnids and insects.
We will leave to San Jose de Buja town in the morning, where we will take a small boat to take us to Boca de Tigre camp or Yabinoko Camp facilities,where we´ll fill up with the Waraos Native People Activities, walking in the Tropical Delta jungle and visiting native people communities with a Warao speaking person
At dawn we willl be going back to San Jose de Buja port, where we willl take our land transport to go all the way north to the beautiful always green Caripe Mountains. During our trip we´ll visit handicraft “Cazaberas”, Monagas oldest Church which is from the beginning of the 19th century, we´ll also enjoy El Guamo Dam, handcrafts selling places and other Typical Monagas curiosities. Arriving to Caripe we´ll stay in any of the beautiful cabins, shelters and hotels offered by Caripe town.
This day will be full of natural beauties when we get into the mountains of Caripe walking paths and accompanied by the singing of beautiful birds there, come to stunning waterfalls and hike among beautiful plantings. And if its about adevnture the National Park El Guácharo offers spectacular caves.
After waking up, we go to Miraflores town, where we´ll start a “trekking” to Miraflores Doors, an impressive cannon, 300 mts high, where cold waters from Guarapiche river goes through, and adventure sports like “climbing” are done, Miraflores Doors are recognized, beceuse of its splendor and sporting attractive, not only in Venezuela but in some parts of the world. Then, we head to "La cueva del Guacharo" (Guacharo´s Cave), Natural Landmark of Monagas State, which shelters up to 2000 "guacharos", birds whose name was given to the cave. Inside of it we´ll make a touristic trip of some 1200 meter approximately. The when the sun goes down, we´ll see the guacharos leaving the cave to look for food.
We´ll leave the camp in a tour to Caripe Town and the surrounding areas, like La Guanota town, recognized by its wood handicrafted articles, also know the facilities of organic farming and largest in Latin America before making the return journey end to our Ecoaventura.  it'll take a look at Caripe Town from the viewpoint , delight with its famous strawberries and cream, their liquors and flowers and so back to Maturin.
