There are two climatic types under the Köppen climate classification: a tropical savanna climate (Aw), with high temperatures and two rainy seasons.

The steppe climate (Bs), characterized by a dry grassland . The temperature varies between 16 º and 25 º C in the mountain area, on the plateaus and plains has an annual average of 27 º C. Average annual precipitation ranges are between 800 and 2 000 mm.
